Reminder to Pick Up After Your Pets
Dear Trailside Residents,
We love seeing residents and their pets enjoying our community! As a friendly reminder, all dogs must be kept on a leash in common areas and along community trails.
Most importantly, please remember to pick up after your dog every time. Dog waste left on trails, sidewalks, parks, and open spaces is not only unpleasant for other residents, but can also create health and sanitation concerns. Please carry waste bags with you, immediately pick up after your pet, and dispose of the waste properly.
We understand that accidents happen, but leaving pet waste behind is not acceptable and impacts the entire community. With many residents walking the trails and using our parks, everyone needs to do their part to keep these areas clean and enjoyable.
Keeping your dog leashed and promptly cleaning up after your pet helps protect the safety, health, and comfort of residents, children, pets, and wildlife. Even well-behaved dogs can react unexpectedly, and using a leash is the best way to prevent unwanted incidents.
Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and for doing your part to keep Trailside clean, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.
If you have questions regarding local leash laws or would like to report an off-leash dog, please contact your local animal control or police department.
Thank you,
Trailside Metropolitan District
